Logan Square Megamall Plaza

Work on the Logan Square Megamall Plaza, located at 2550 N Milwaukee Avenue, is underway by the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) and the Chicago Public Buildings Commission’s (PBC) contractor, Capital Cement. 

This new public plaza at the intersection of Milwaukee Avenue and Logan Boulevard will be a welcoming public space that will support local economic development and provide a space for the community to gather. The plans for this plaza was developed through a collaborative community process with community representatives, the 35th Ward Office, and community feedback initiatives and include:

  • Site furniture and seating

  • New sidewalks and custom pavers

  • New lighting

  • Trees and landscaped areas

  • A pavilion and performance area

  • Children’s play area

  • Community identifier. 

Throughout construction, Milwaukee Avenue and Logan Boulevard will remain open to motorists with periodic parking restrictions. The project is scheduled for substantial completion in mid-2027.
