Anthony Quezada,
35th Ward Alderman
Anthony Joel Quezada is a lifelong Chicagoan and was raised on Chicago's northwest side in Logan Square. He has served our communities as the constituent service director for 35th Ward Alderman Carlos Ramirez-Rosa, as a community organizer, as the 35th Ward Democratic Committeeman, and most recently as the Cook County Commissioner for the 8th District, which encompasses many of the communities of the 35th Ward.
As commissioner, Anthony worked to provide property tax relief to thousands of homeowners, introduced and passed Cook County's Paid Leave ordinance to expand workers' benefits, secured funding to provide dental health services at the Belmont Cragin Health Center, secured $1.5 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds for infrastructure improvements on Fullerton Avenue, expanded the scope of the Cook County Public Defender to represent undocumented residents of Cook County in immigration court outside of Chicago, and much more. Anthony is a proud product of Chicago Public Schools and attended Goethe Elementary School and Lane Tech High School. He was appointed alderman of the 35th ward in April of 2025, after former Alderman Carlos Ramirez-Rosa was appointed to lead the Chicago Park District.

Scott Jaburek
scott@ward35.orgScott is a lifelong Chicagoan who grew up on the southwest side of Chicago. He is a graduate of Walter Payton College Prep, where he got his start in government and organizing, working with peers to successfully amend the CPS non-discrimination policy to include gender identity and expression. He received the Posse Foundation Scholarship to attend Trinity College in Hartford, CT, where he majored in Political Science and Hispanic Studies. Scott began working with the 35th Ward in 2017 as the Ward Superintendent, where he oversaw city services such as garbage pickup, street sweeping, snow removal, and more. He has served in his capacity as ward Chief of Staff since June of 2023.

Chas Sirridge
chas@ward35.orgChas first became involved with the 35th Ward Office as an intern in 2018 while attending the College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs at UIC. He started as Director of Policy under former Ald. Carlos Ramirez-Rosa in 2023, serving in this role for six months before transitioning to the role of Policy Director of the City Council’s Committee on Zoning, Landmarks, and Building Standards. He returned to his role of Policy Director for the 35th Ward following Ald. Quezada’s appointment. Prior to working for the 35th Ward, Chas worked with owners of two-to-four flat properties in East Garfield Park, West Garfield Park, and Humboldt Park as a Program Coordinator at Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago.

Sara Rodriguez
sara@ward35.orgSara is a life long resident of Chicago, born and raised in the North Park area. She is a former CPS student who graduated from Mary Gage Peterson Elementary in North Park and Von Steuben Metropolitan High School in Albany Park. In 2022, she graduated from Oberlin College as a Posse Scholar with a degree in Africana Studies and Hispanic Studies. In 2023, Sara began working as the Neighborhood Services Advocate in the 35th ward. Now, as Director of Neighborhood Services in the 35th ward, she is responsible for overseeing construction projects, completing service requests, assisting with a range of petition and application processes, and communicating with different city departments to support residents with various services. She is dedicated to serving our communities – whether you live in Avondale, Hermosa, Irving Park or Logan Square, Sara is here to support and serve you!

Juan Cardenas
juan@ward35.orgJuan was born and raised in Waukegan, IL, a Black and Brown working-class community. At 15 years old, with his high school friend, he began organizing workers and residents experiencing police brutality, discrimination, and poverty throughout Lake County. His parents are from Michoacán and Guerrero, México.
In 2025, Juan graduated from the University of Chicago in Hyde Park, where he studied Sociology and organized for Palestinian rights. Following graduation, he began working with the 35th Ward in June 2025, eager to learn about local governance structures. In his role as Neighborhood Services Advocate, Juan works to ensure city services are delivered in an effective and timely manner. In his free time, you can catch Juan playing soccer, watching films, or collecting magazines.

Alberto Cuevas
Alberto is a lifelong Chicagoan and a Badger, i.e. a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he majored in Latin American, Caribbean, and Iberian Studies. After college, Alberto worked as an organizer with the Fight for 15 campaign as well as the Bernie Sanders campaign. He also worked as a Chicago Public Schools Resource Coordinator and as a contact tracer during the pandemic. Most recently, he worked as an IBEW Diesel Locomotive Electrician at the Union Pacific Railroad, meaning he's not afraid to gets his hands dirty -- an important attribute for a ward superintendent. Alberto joined the team in the summer of 2023. If you see Alberto driving around the neighborhood, say hello!
